Elizabeth "Betsy" Shore Pardue

Elizabeth (Betsy) Shore Pardue, 74, of Yadkinville, passed away this week in her home. Born in 1950, Betsy graduated salutatorian from Forbush High School and went on to attend UNC Greensboro. She worked briefly at Winston Salem Healthcare and in later years became a caregiver to her aunt, cousin and mother. Betsy was a member of Yadkinville Methodist Church and enjoyed reading and spending time with family. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister and aunt who always saw the best in others. Betsy gave faithfully and generously, through the years, to several charitable organizations. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, Houston LaVerne and Elizabeth Miller Shore, her husband of 38 years, Grady Dale Pardue and her brother, Houston E. Shore. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Shore Miller (David) of Advance, a niece, Nicole Benken (Daniel) of Smithfield, a nephew, Grant Miller (Bethany) of Advance and several great nieces and nephews. Per her wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Pardue family.
