Elizabeth Lane Spencer

Spencer East Bend-Elizabeth Elma Lane Spencer, 69, of East Bend, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Yadkin County on March 2, 1952 to Walter Franklin and Elma Niten Lane. She was of the Methodist faith. Elizabeth loved her children and grandchildren and she was a member of Oldtown #355 Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Patton and her brothers, Dewey Lane, Ralph Lane, Roger Lane, and Steven Lane. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Rickey Spencer; her children, Tracy (Shawnie) Poplin, Rodney (Kerry) Poplin, Shane Spencer, and Cory Spencer; Grandchildren, Aaron Golden, Bridget Brooks, Patrick Golden, Kathryn Whitaker, Mackenzie Poplin, Logan Poplin, Kaitlyn Poplin, Alexander Poplin, Alec Spencer, Jessica Acord, Cole Spencer, Candace Rose, and Camron Spencer; a great-grandchild, Macey Turney; her sisters, Violet Floyd and Louise Bumgarner; a brother, Gray Lane; and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
