Mrs. Elsie Lois Tivey, age 96, went home to be with the Lord on May 3, 2022. Elsie was born in Alexandria, New Hampshire on August 22, 1925 to the late Elmer E. and Avis Laura Sharp Braley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Tivey; her daughter, Jacquelyn Avis Trenholm; and her sisters.

Elsie was a faithful member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, going to antique stores, visiting with friends and family, and loved going to church. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Joyce Reynolds, James Loughlin (Carrie), Jeri Ballou (Henry Harms); grandchildren, Cheryl Reynolds, Dauphne Trenholm, Scott Trenholm, Stacy Levasseur, Jamin Levasseur; brother, Elmer A. Braley (Pamela); and several special nieces & nephews.

The family is eternally grateful for the doctors and nurses at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation and for all of their loving care of Elsie.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11 AM at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM.
