Emma Jean Hobson Sizemore

November 17, 1932 — September 5, 2019

Yadkinville – Mrs. Emma Jean Hobson Sizemore, 86, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mrs. Sizemore was born November 17, 1932 in Yadkin County to Oscar and Vernie Hayes Hobson.  She was a member of Northwood Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Leo Sizemore; three brothers, Jack Hobson, David “Joe” Hobson, and Junior Hobson; two sisters, Betty Styers, and Libby Nelson.  She is survived by three children, Kay (Terry) Potts, Randy (Cheryl) Sizemore, and Danny (Samantha) Sizemore; four grandchildren, Robbie (Cindy) Potts, Denver, Brandon, and Dalton Sizemore; one great grandson, Robbie “Andrew” (Laken) Potts, Jr.; one brother, Frank (Doris) Hobson; and one sister, Kathleen Rutledge.  Mrs. Sizemore had been in declining health for several years, but she continued to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  In arms of her loving daughter, she took her last breath and passed over gently to be with Leo.  A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Dr. Allen Barker and Dr. Hubert Wishon officiating.  Burial will follow at Northwood Baptist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
