Emma "Lou" Comer Church

Hamptonville Emma “Lou” Church, 66, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin. Ms. Church was born May 2, 1952 in Forsyth County to Billy Comer and Ethel Church Comer Beamer. In addition to her parents, Ms. Church was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Shephard; a brother, Johnny Beamer; and her step father, John Henry Beamer. She is survived by a step son, Tim Church; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Diane Stanley; four brothers, Billy (Dianne) Comer, Ricky, David, and Wayne Beamer; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Friday, May 25, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, 243 N. Lee Ave. Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to thank the staff of Winston Salem Nursing & Rehab and SECU Hospice Home for the loving care given to Ms. Church during her illness.
