Eula Mae Hutchens

Yadkinville Ms. Eula “Shorty” Mae Hutchens, 73, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Care Center. Ms. Hutchens was born June 8, 1948 in Yadkin County to Jasper and Eula Ester Hutchens. She was a very hard worker who enjoyed gardening, flowers, and taking care of others. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hutchens was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Hutchens; and brothers, Bobby Brandon and Larry Hutchens. She is survived by her two children, Kelly Hutchens and Jason Hutchens and fiancé Anita Shore; her very special grandson, Andrew Hutchens; two sisters, Marie Williams and Margaret (Santford) Brown; two brothers, Bill (Linda) Brandon and Johnny (Janice) Hutchens; and her special K-9 companion, Lu-Lu. A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Kate. B.
