Evalue Mathis Yates

Hamptonville Mrs. Evalue Shore Mathis Yates, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 17, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Yates was born September 1, 1930 to William and Ila Rose Riddle Shore. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lee Mathis; her second husband, Otis Yates; and a sister, Ruth Somers. She is survived by one daughter, Donna (Jerry Lee) Millsaps; and one grandson, Jeremy Millsaps. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Pardue and Rev. Russ Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
