Evelyn Stanley Haynes

Haynes Mrs. Evelyn Stanley Haynes, 87, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2019 at the Brian Center Health and Retirement Center in Lincolnton N.C. Mrs. Haynes was born to the late Gerthie and Mittie Barker Stanley in Yadkin County on February 28th, 1932. She graduated from Jonesville High School and lived entire life in Yadkin County, until she relocated to Lincolnton, NC in 2015 to be nearer to her family. Mrs. Haynes was married for 62 years to the late Norman D. Haynes, who passed away in 2015. Evelyn was a wonderful mother and homemaker, and enjoyed working with her church, Fall Creek Baptist, where she organized church meals, delivered Sunshine Baskets and assisted in many other roles. Evelyn enjoyed antiquing and trips to the coast. She had a special love for her family and a fondness for dogs of all types. Surviving is her son, Richard Dale Haynes and wife, Elaine of Denver, NC; a granddaughter, Allison H. Comley, and husband Matt, Huntersville, NC; and a grandson, Jonathan Steelman of Hamptonville, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Fall Creek Baptist Church, Jonesville, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Fall Creek Baptist Church, 3345 Fall Creek Church Road, Jonesville NC, with a service to follow at 3:00 p.m. by the Rev.
