Flora Eyvonne Hutchens Felts, 75, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024. She was born October 14, 1948 in Davie County to the late Roby Evan Hutchens and Ida Mae Chandler Hutchens. She enjoyed being a caregiver for people in need and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Ethel Myers, Mary Ruth Hutchens; four brothers Romie Hutchens, Raymond Hutchens, Roy Hutchens and R.F. Hutchens. Surviving are her husband Dennis Felts; two daughters Tanya (John) Athan, Denise (Allen) Cockerham; granddaughter Hannah Athan (Tyler Nations); great granddaughter Hadley Athan; sister Betty Couch; brother Rufus Hutchens; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her service will be conducted at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Jared Warden. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at the SECU Hospice Home in Yadkin for the loving care given to Mrs. Felts. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice Home 243 N. Lee Avenue Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Felts family.
