Floyd Monroe Marlowe

Floyd Monroe Marlowe, 86, passed away on May 6, 2018 at Mt. Valley Hospice Home. He was born on December 14, 1931; son of the late Archie Marlowe and Ethel Livingston Marlowe. Floyd loved spending his time with his family, gardening and yardwork. He was retired from Baker Furniture with 25 or more years of service.  He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; Violet M. Marlowe; daughter; Diane M. Powell (Pete); grandson; Brad Powell (Shannon); brothers; Wayne, LeRoy and William; sisters; Hazel, Helen and Mildred. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marvin Blackburn and Noel Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Davie County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, May 7, 2018 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mt.
