Frances Vaudeline Salmons Doss

Doss Yadkinville – Frances Vaudeline Salmons Doss, 97, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 surrounded by loving family. She was born February 14, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late George Clark Salmons and Evella Cozart Salmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gurney Doss; sisters Texie Lou Joyner, Ruth Hoots; brothers, Beecher Salmons, Leonard Salmons, Ray Salmons, James Salmons, Gray Salmons, George Salmons; daughter in-law Connie Spillman Doss. Vaudeline is survived by her son, David Doss (Tracy); Grandchildren, Randall Doss (Irish), Jason Doss, Eric Doss (Ming Yen), Madison Blair; Great grandchildren, Lucas Doss, Kaleb Doss, Oliver Doss, Ian Doss, Kimber Doss; Great-great granddaughter, Aspen Doss; and many loving nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Rev. James Tallent. Burial will follow at the Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00AM at Gentry Family Funeral Services in Yadkinville. The family wants to thank every staff member at Yadkin Nursing Care Center for their loving care and support given to Vaudeline for the many years of her stay. In memory of Vaudeline the family would like to request blood donations through the American Red Cross or reach out and adopt a senior who have no family to visit or love them.
