Franklin "Frankie" Delano Joyner

Mr. Franklin “Frankie” Delano Joyner, 84, passed away on September 15, 2024. He was born in Wilkes County on August 30, 1940 to the late Archie Frank Joyner and Edmee Chambers Joyner. Frankie was a faithful member of Temple Hill Methodist Church for over 80 years. He enjoyed taking care of the church grounds and the Temple Hill softball field. He also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, and traveling. 

In addition to his parents, Frankie is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Bueno; and a sister, Brenda Adams. Frankie is survived by his beloved wife, Pauline “Polly” Brown Joyner; children, Dawn (Keith) Holleman and Dale Joyner; grandchildren, Matt (Sarah) Holleman and Hannah (Jared) Franciosa; great grandchildren, Hailey Holleman, Jasmine Bueno, and JJ Holleman. 

A funeral service for Frankie will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Temple Hill Methodist Church in Ronda, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Temple Hill Methodist Church, or the Temple Hill Church building fund. 1191 Somers Rd, Ronda, NC 28670.
