Fred "Dwight" Shore

State Road Mr. Fred “Dwight” Shore, 59, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  Mr. Shore was born October 29, 1957 in Surry County to Fred and Thelma White Shore.  He was a member of Marler Road Baptist Church.  Mr. Shore enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all, loved his family and church.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Shore was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Casstevens.  He is survived by one daughter, Amanda (David) Rorrer; his father, Fred (Naomi) Shore; three grandchildren, Kenneth Dayton-Dakota Farris, Brittiany Lacole Rorrer, and Destiny Addie Rorrer; a very special friend, Mary Sue Johnson; and three special aunts, Mary Harrison, Barbara Finney, and Pauline Finney. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Monday, June 12, 2017 at Marler Road Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Central Full Gospel Church in State Road.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM at the church prior to the service.
