Garlon Gray Hall

Garlon Gray Hall, 84, passed away Friday July 28, 2017. Mr. Hall was born November 6, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Governor Vance Hall and Molly Mae Marsh Hall. Mr. Hall served in the US Army. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and a member of the Yadkin Cruisers. Mr. Hall was retired as manager from Sears after 35 years of service. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents; a son Randal Hall; one sister Lorraine Pardue; five brothers Glenn Hall, Clarence Hall, Warren Hall, Leon Hall, and Hobert Hall. Surviving are his wife of 60 years Nellie Gray Todd Hall; Sons Michael (Joselyn) Hall, Richard (Krislyn) Hall; grandchildren Michael Hall, Carson Hall; three sisters Lois Hess, Betty Lou Templeton, Shirley Short. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Monday July 31, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 following the visitation on Monday at the Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Lancaster. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family would like to say a very special thanks to Elizabeth Pardue and the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care, support, and professionalism given to Mr. and Mrs. Hall.
