Gary Wayne Dunn

Yadkinville Mr. Gary Wayne Dunn, 50, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his home. Mr. Dunn was born October 4, 1966 in Wilkes County to Leonard Berkley Dunn and Nina Nichols Royal. He was a member of South River Church of Christ and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Dunn; and his mother-in-law, Martha Stone. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a his wife of 15 years, Lucy Stone Dunn; two daughters, Katie Sutherland (Joseph Albertelli) and Ella Dunn; step mother, Phyllis Dunn; step father Jack Royal; father-in-law, Jim Stone; a sister, Lisa (Shane) Abernathy; a half-brother, Jason (Shelly) Poole; two step sisters, Teresa (Hunter) McCray and Tammy (Mike) Bumgarner; a brother-in-law, Will Stone; and a sister-in-law, Gini (Justin) Brewster. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Friday, October 6, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Wilkes County.
