Mr. Gary Dean Nixon, age 56, passed away on December 14, 2021. Gary was born in Surry County on August 30, 1965 to Estelle Lyons.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Greg Nixon.

Gary loved music, watching TV, and enjoyed watching racing. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Estelle Lyons; sister, Darlene (James) Collins; brothers, Dwayne Nixon, Doug Nixon, and Darrell (Billie Jo) Nixon. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his special niece, Kelly Hall for all her loving care during Gary’s sickness and also, to Gary’s CNA, Jenna.
