Doub East Bend – Gaynell Wooten Doub, 87, 2 Timothy 4:7, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018. She was born December 1, 1930 in Yadkin County to the late Pride Elbert Wooten and Lola Wall Wooten. Gaynell was a member of Baltimore United Methodist Church, where she played the organ for 55 years. She was a secretary at Forbush Elementary School for 25 years. She always enjoyed cooking for everyone and always having family and friends around to enjoy a good home cooked meal. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Allen Doub; son, Ricky Doub; brothers, Trasker Wooten, Glendon Wooten, Thomas Wooten; brother-in-law, Richard Mathis. Surviving are her sons, Larry (LuRae) Doub, Kent (Beth) Doub; daughter-in-law Judy Doub, grandchildren, Scott (Kay) Doub, Michael Doub, Ashley (Michael) Wilbanks, Mason Doub, Kala Doub; great grandchildren, Jordan Doub (fiancé – McKenzie Hutchens), Logan Doub, Layken Doub, Isabel Doub, Isaac Doub, Lola Wilbanks, Liam Wilbanks; sisters, Vergie Mathis, Shelby Vestal; brothers, Leon (Margaret) Wooten, Samuel (Patricia) Wooten; sister-in-laws, Nancy Wooten, Ruth Wooten, Mary Wooten; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Baltimore United Methodist Church by the Rev. Chad Shoaf and Herb Baker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to thank Dr. Paschold, Paula Norman, Dr. Terry Hess and Yadkin Nursing Care Center for all the love and care shown to Gaynell.
