Gerry Ashley Wood

Wood Jonesville – Gerry Lee Ashley Wood, 79, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born August 1, 1938 in Surry County to the late Paul Ashley and Mary King Ashley.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Dean (Cathy) Wood; great grandchild, Bailey Ann Jester; sister, Kay Williams; brother, Danny Ashley.  Surviving is her children, Robbie Wood, Darryl Wood, Joy (Damien) Vierra; grandchildren, Dale Jester, Deanna Wood, JoAnn (Todd) Norman, Kimberly Wood; great grandchildren, Connor Lee Jester, Emma Grace Jester, Ryan Blake Jester, Levi Chase Wood, Shea Triplett, Jackson Triplett, Jeremiah Norman; sisters, Brenda (Bill) Hardy, Peggy Isaac; brother, Billy (Mary) Ashley; and several nieces and nephews.   Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Kenny Pardue.  Memorials can be made to Mt. Herman Baptist Church, 319 Mt.
