Gina Laraine Moxley

Gina Laraine Moxley, 55, of Boonville passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. She was born in Surry County on June 25, 1966 to Charles Moxley and Brenda Garris. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving is her husband, Randy Everhart; son, Robby Sinon; son, Chris Sinon (Destiny Fuchs); and grandson Caden. Gina was also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins whom she loved dearly. Gina graduated from Miami Dade Community College in 1987 with an Associate’s Degree in Arts. She graduated Cum Laude from North Carolina State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education. Gina taught Agriscience and Horticulture at South Granville High, as well as South and North Stokes High Schools. After moving back to Yadkin County, she took a role as a teaching assistant and provided student support for the exceptional children’s classes at Forbush High, Starmount Middle, and Starmount High Schools. She truly loved the students she worked with, and was an encourager, mentor, and tried to help each student reach his/her full potential. She made a lasting impact on the students she taught. Gina also made special friendships with past employers Dr. Fawaz, Dr. Shelton, Dr. Arias, Winston Eye Associates, and Surry Community College. Other achievements include earning the Outstanding Young Woman of America Award in 1988 and Stokes County Soil Conservation Teacher of the Year in 2000. Gina helped her community by volunteering for Hopeline Crisis Hotline, Adopt-a-Pet, Special Olympics, and tutoring ESL students. Gina had a special place in her heart for all of God’s creatures, her favorites being cats and horses. Gina loved and trusted her Lord. She will be forever missed, but Gina knew Christ as her Savior, and has a home in Heaven with Him. A private graveside service was held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Boonville, NC. Rev. Phillip Link and Rev. Clyde Akers officiated the service.
