Glenn Monroe Collins

Mr. Glenn Monroe Collins, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He was born in Wilkes County on May 17, 1934 to Calvin Collins and Novella Money Collins. Glenn was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed hanging out at John Boy’s, surf fishing, and working with metal. Glenn loved spending time with his family and great friends, Ronnie Sparks and Dennis Murphy. He will be very missed by all who had the special privilege to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Collins and seven sisters, Essie C. Walker, DeEtte C. Wishon, Carrie Collins, Lorene C. Wishon, Cathleen C. Money, Lois C. Evans, and Annie C. Swaim. He is survived by his special sidekick, David Tullock and wife, Dianna; grandchildren by love, Karsyn Foster and Regan Tullock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Elkin with Rev. Jeff Collins officiating. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Ronnie Sparks, Clara Sparks, and Dennis Murphy for helping take care of Glenn like family.
