MOCKSVILLE- Mrs. Grace Wooten Taylor, 94, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home in Mocksville. She was born April 11, 1927 in Davie County to the late Pearl and Annie K. Wooten. She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flowers, baking, gardening, and canning. She was deeply loved and many people’s lives were enriched by having known her. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wesley Taylor; sisters, Louise Hodgson, Lois Beck, DeEtte Renegar, Mary Poole, and a brother, Fred Wooten. She is survived by 4 children, Rickey Taylor, Alton (Sue) Taylor, Jimmy (Lydia) Taylor, and Olene (Ronald) Wicker. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Taylor will be available for public viewing from 8:00AM -5:00PM Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. She will also be available for public viewing from 9:00AM – 11:00 AM Wednesday at Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Mocksville. Her graveside service will follow the viewing at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg McEwen officiating.
