Grace Jones Thompson

Thompson East Bend – Grace Loretta Jones Thompson, 77, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 17, 1939 to the late Walter Fletcher Jones and Lula Grace Litten Jones.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia Ann Thompson; sister, Janet Everhart.  Surviving are her husband of 57 years, George “Hassell” Thompson; children, Loretta Thompson (Wayne) Matthews, Deborah Thompson (Joey) Simmons; grandchildren, Abby Matthews (Quermit) Salas, Wesley (Kayla) Matthews; sisters, June Shoaf, Patricia (Fred) Herman, Wanda Jones; brothers, Walter Jones, James (Karen) Jones, David (Donna) Jones, Kevin (Melissa) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.  Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Cemetery by the Rev.
