Harold "Duane" Gilpin

Jonesville Mr. Harold “Duane” Gilpin, 56, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his home.  Mr. Gilpin was born October 10, 1961 in Fruita, Colorado to Leslie Gilpin and Catherine Blevins Cornette.  He was a member of East Elkin Full Gospel Church and was a veteran of the US Navy.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilpin was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Johnny Gilpin.  He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lisa Keeney Gilpin; three children, Diandra Leber, Sid (Erika) Williamson, and Brittany Long; six grandchildren, Preston Duane Harrison, Shania Faith Harrison, Kayden, Morgan, Spencer and Cori Williamson; two sisters, Kaylynn Redfern and Brenda (Kelly) Webster; three brothers, Greg Gilpin, Tracy (Marlene) Gilpin, and Jerry Gilpin; and several nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, June 3, 2018 at East Elkin Full Gospel Church with Rev. Jerry Childress officiating.  He will lie in state from 2:30 to 3:00PM prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Saturday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Gilpin family.
