Harold Linney Steelman

Steelman Hamptonville – Harold Linney Steelman, 83, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. He was born September 25, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late John Taylor Steelman and Bessie Shore Steelman.  Harold was a member at Flat Rock Baptist Church for over 75 years.  He served 10 years in the National Guard and retired from Bob Neill Auto Sales after 27 years of service.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Long, Margaret Gough, and Eva Calloway.  Surviving is his wife, Charlotte Sloan Steelman; son, Danny (Janet) Steelman; grandchildren, Lincoln (Janel) Steelman, Spencer “Mac” (Hannah) Steelman; great grandchildren, Rutledge, Emerson, Whitaker, Hensley, Clementine; sister, Martha Sanders.  His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Flat Rock Baptist Church by Dr. Joey Tomlin.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at Flat Rock Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church (Building Fund), 3800 Flat Rock Church Road, Hamptonville, NC  27020 or to SECU Hospice Center, 243 N.
