Harvey "Neal" Hutchens

Yadkinville Harvey “Neal” Hutchens, 69, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 6, 2022 with his beloved family by his side, all holding hands. Neal was born September 9, 1952 in Forsyth County to Harvey and Goldie McKnight Hutchens. He was retired and loved gardening, fishing, working on his farm equipment, debating the odds of winning the lottery, and talking with his dear friends Bobby, David, Danny, and Dianne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Hutchens and sister-in-law, Shirley Hutchens. He is survived by his son, Bradley Hutchens, sister Doris (Lynn) Johnson and his brother, Ronald (Wendy) Hutchens. Also, surviving are his nephews, Jeff Johnson, Justin Hutchens, John (Nita) Hutchens, Andy (Valerie) Hutchens, and Jason Hutchens. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home of Dobson. The family wishes to thank all of the healthcare workers that provided care for Neal, especially the staff of Woltz Hospice Home.
