Harvey Dale White Sr., 52, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019. He was born November 16, 1967 in Decatur, Alabama to the Melvin Edward White and Margaret Nell South Gross. Mr. White was proceeded in death by his father Melvin Edward White. He attended Courtney Elementary School and Forbush High School.  Mr. White worked for several years as a professional roofer with Bowman Roofing in Hickory, was always willing to be a help to anyone, and especially enjoyed keeping the cars running of his family and friends. Surviving are his mother, Margaret Nell South Gross, of the home; his children Anna Castiglia and friend Tyler, Shanda Styers and friend PeeWee, Harvey Dale White Jr., Joshua Monroe Hugh White, all of Yadkinville; his grandchildren, Madison Styers, Winson Trevel Scott; brothers Tracey O’Neil White, Randy Wayne Johnson; and his father that raised him, Irvin Johnson Jr. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Chris Hauser. Burial will follow in the Yadkin Memorial Gardens.
