Hazel Trivette Grose went home to Jesus on January 10, 2023, at age 92 and was surrounded by loving family members when she passed.
Hazel was born to Lillie Mae Trivette on August 21, 1930. She was a comfort to many and a joy to all. Most of her time was spent taking care of her family, her friends, and her community.
Hazel met her husband, Doyle Grose, a match truly made in heaven. They married and went on to have three children, Carolyn, James, and Hilda.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Hazel also became a grandmother and later a great-grandmother. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She loved her church, Liberty Baptist Church, and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible.
Now that Hazel has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Hazel’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her. Hazel joins her mother, Lillie Mae, and her husband, Doyle, and great grandchild, Abdullah, in Heaven. She is survived by her children, Carolyn, James, and Hilda, her grandchildren, Dawn, Michelle, Holly, Renee, Dustin, and Gary Jr., and her eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Marvin Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville.
