Boonville Mrs. Hazel Beatrice Reece Hinshaw, 78, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin. Mrs. Hinshaw was born September 13, 1939 in Yadkin County to Edward and Vernie Jester Reece. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed gospel singing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hinshaw was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Hinshaw; and two sisters, Pearl Shore and Dorothy Jarvis. She is survived by three children, Robin (David) Johnson, Ricky (Issy) Hinshaw, and Randall (Michelle) Hinshaw; four grandchildren, Hope (Scott) Webb, Bridget (WA) Jenkins, Krissy Hinshaw, and Briana Hinshaw; four great grandchildren, Evan & Emily Webb and Kylie & Kendall Jenkins; two sisters, Ruth McCollum and Janie Hunter; two brothers, Roger Reece and Ray (Barbara) Reece; special friend, Clara Hine; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Gooden officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin, 243 N. Lee Ave. Yadkinville, NC 27055 or to Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2401 Nebo Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hugh Chatham Hospital, Mtn. Valley Home Health, New Horizon (especially Kristie Mahan), Yadkin Nursing Center, and SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin for the loving care given to Mrs. Hinshaw. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hinshaw family.
