Helen Blanche Pinnix Pardue

Helen Blanche Pinnix Pardue, 96, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018. She was born in Yadkin County on November 6, 1921 to the late Claude and Evelyn Pinnix. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Jess Pardue; daughter Mary Jo Absher; grandson Jeff Cheek; son-in-law Bobby Cheek; four brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. Pardue was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She retired from RJR with 32 years of service. She is survived by her children Violet Cheek, Rudy Pardue (Glenda), Gary Pardue (Dana), Sylvia Spann, Andy Pardue, and Jackie Pardue; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; sister, Ruby Shores; brother, Joe Pinnix; sisters-in-law Barbara Pinnix, Kathleen Pinnix; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Souther officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
