Hope Elwanda Long

Hope Elwanda Long, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday June 10, 2019 at Yadkin Nursing center. She was born in Forsyth County, NC on January 6, 1945; daughter of the late John Daniel Long and Laura Opal Long Long and attended Maplewood Baptist Church, when she was able. Ms. Long worked at Crown Wood Products. Survivors include her daughter, April Wooten, brothers; Hoyt Shore, Benny Long and Duane Long (Peggy), grandchildren; Will (Jennifer) and John Wooten (Breanna) and her canine companion, Odie. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association or Mountain Valley Hospice.
