Howard Junior (June) Davis

Howard Junior (June) Davis, 89, passed away on April 19, 2018 at Mountain Valley Hospice Home, Yadkinville. He was born in Yadkin County, NC on September 7, 1928; son of the late William Fred Davis and Sally Geneva Lineberry Davis and was a member of Crossroad Baptist Church, worked for RJR Tobacco Company with over 33 years of service, served in the US Army as a Medic and was a Corporal. He was an avid reader and loved spending time in the local libraries in Yadkin and Forsyth Counties. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Irene Fletcher Davis, two brothers; Bobby and William and two sisters; Myrtle and Jean. He is survived by his daughter; Linda Krause, a son; Dennis W. Davis (Rita); grandchildren; Anthony Davis (Tracy), Aaron Davis (Elena), Ashley Golden (Travis) and Amber Nichols (Jeremy); great grandchildren; Olivia, Abby, Gideon, Lydia, Dylan, Adrianna, Preston and Roman (Born Friday, April 20, 2018), his sister; Ann Long and his faithful canine companion, Roxie. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Chapel with Pastor George Goggin officiating. Burial will follow in the Westlawn Garden of Memory, Clemmons with military rites by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and NC National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
