Hamptonville Mr. Howard “Wayne” Collins, Sr., 76, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his home. Wayne was born June 12, 1944 in Forsyth County to Albert and Doris Hutchens Collins. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and was a Godly man. Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing, and worked with the van ministry for 22 years. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by two children, Margo Melinda Collins and Mark Wayne Collins; a grandson, Jeffrey Collins; a great grandchild, Taylor Collins; and a brother, Dennis Collins. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Martha Ellen Pinnix Collins; four children, Mark (Angie) Williams, Junior (Vickie) Collins, Debbie (Dale) Brock, and Renual (Bobbie) Collins; grandchildren, Marissa Williams (Brad), Brandy Collins, Justice Collins, and Devin Collins; great grandchildren, Hailey Collins, Clint Collins, Breonna Collins, Christina James, Damion Carlucci, Aurora Margeson, and Harmonie Miller; sisters, Cynthia (Johnny) Delancey, Sandra (Gerald) Wall, and Sarah Collins; brothers, Larry Collins and Galen Collins; and a special niece, Susan (Gary) Casto. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Maranatha Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Barker and Rev. Benny Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Collins will be available for public viewing Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock of Ages Prison Ministry, 626 Sugar Creek Road SE Cleveland, TN 37323.
