Hubert Floyd Reynolds

Yadkinville Mr. Hubert Floyd Reynolds, 91, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mr. Reynolds was born January 9, 1926 in Yadkin County to Miles and Percy Rutledge Reynolds. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Reynolds was a WWII veteran of the US Army/Air Force 6th Air Force, 397th Heavy Bombardment Group as an Aerial Gunner on a B-24. He was a caregiver to many family members and loved to rescue animals in need. In addition to his parents, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Marshall Reynolds; and four sisters, Sarah Trivette, Effie Fierce, Adelene Daye, and Mary Elizabeth Reynolds. He is survived by special nieces, Debra “Christine” Maines, Diane Jester, Marie Reynolds, and Marcia Reynolds; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30PM, Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard and Yadkin VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled Veterans, VA Regional Ofc Federal Bldg 251 North Main St, Rm 116 Winston-Salem, NC 27101. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff on the 500 Hall of Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care given to MR. Reynolds.
