Iris Colvard Johnson

Johnson Jonesville – Iris Yvonne Colvard Johnson, “Ecie”, 71, passed away November 4, 2017 at Yadkinville Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family.  Yvonne was born April 14, 1946 in Wilkes County to the late Ralph Gray Colvard and Jessie Vestal Colvard.  She enjoyed many hours of antiquing with the love of her life, Roger.  She was loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed sewing, flower arranging, crafts, and cooking.  Surviving is her husband of 51 years, Roger Dale Johnson.  They raised two wonderful sons, Gregg Johnson and wife Patty, Kevin Johnson and wife Gail.  She was known by “Nanny” to six grandchildren, Drew Johnson (Finance – Rebecca Troglin), Cory Johnson and wife Anna, Brittney Johnson Butcher and husband Travis, Bradley Johnson, Corey McLeod and wife Joy Beth, Samantha Johnson; three great grandchildren, Kilee Johnson, Austin McLeod, and Eli Butcher.  Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville by the Rev. Scotty Johnson.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Yadkinville Hospice Home, 243 North Lee Ave., Yadkinville, NC  27055 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
