Ivan Thomas Herko

Hamptonville Mr. Ivan Thomas Herko, 46, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Care Center. Tom was born August 5, 1973 in Rochester, NY to Joseph Charles Herko and Retta Florida Herko-Pierce. He enjoyed hunting and camping and worked as a carpenter for many years. In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by his three children, Shane Thomas Herko, Emily Brooke Herko, and Abigail Grace Herko; two sisters, Rebecca Rosso and Rachel Herko; step father, Mike Pierce; special friend, Denean Kelly; and mother of his children, Lynne Herko. Due to governmental restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Care Center for the loving care given to Tom. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Herko family.
