Ivery Kay Norman Huff, 78, of Boonville, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 31, 2022. Kay was born on November 29, 1943, to the late Noah Matthew and Lucille Steelman Norman of Boonville, NC. She was a sweet, quiet child who loved playing with her brothers and sisters. She married Joe Franklin Huff (Bill) of Courtney, NC on November 27, 1963, and they had two daughters, Rhonda Kay Huff, of Atlanta, GA, and Michele Huff (Steve) Brooks, of Boonville, NC. Kay enjoyed being outside tending her garden and lawn and feeding the numerous birds and wildlife that would wander by. She loved spending time with her family. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Matthew (Andrea) Greene, Ashtyn (Zachary Smith) Greene, Trey (Cassie Boggs) Brooks, Chaysen Brooks, and Kayde Brooks, and her great grandchildren, Kayne, Arlyn, Maxton, and Kennon Brooks. Kay was so beloved that one of her grandchildren and two of her great grandchildren were named after her. Also left to cherish her memory is her brother, Coy (Wanda) Norman of Yadkinville. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Lucille Norman, her sisters, Jenny Norman and June Hamlin and her brothers Sherman, JC, and Harold Norman. Memorials in her honor can be made to SECU Hospice House, who so lovingly cared for her and her family in her last days. Their address is 243 N. Lee Ave, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family will be receiving family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM, with the service and burial following at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Richmond Hill Baptist Church, (2205 Richmond Hill Rd, Boonville, NC 27011), where Kay was raised and served. The family wishes to thank everyone who has called, served, prayed for, visited, and supported them during Kay’s illness and final days.
