Jonesville Mr. James “Richard” Macemore, 82, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Macemore was born July 13, 1940, in Yadkin County to Fred Lee and Opal Weatherman Macemore. He was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Macemore retired from RJ Reynolds and enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Macemore was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle (Bobby) Cheek and Nancy Gustine; and a brother, Harold Macemore. He is survived by his loving wife Martha Wagoner Macemore; two sons, Gregory J. Macemore and Chris (Shannon) Macemore; grandchildren, Kristin Hutchens, Laken (Devin) Atkinson, Kendall (Timothy) Childress, Caitlyn (Alex) Bullins, and Cade Macemore (Katie Beard); great-grandchildren, Brayden & Brody Webster, Adalynn & Ayden Childress; two sisters, Hellen (Phillip) Mosteller and Anna Laura (Billy) Wagoner; a sister-in-law, Wanda Macemore; and numerous special friends and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Bishop and Rev. Wesley Mosteller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017, or to Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2501 Swan Creek Church Road Jonesville, NC 28642.
