Jack W. Moxley

Moxley East Bend-  Mr. Jack W. Moxley, 88, of Forbush Road, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 after an extended period of declining health.  Jack was born to the late John and Myrtle Moxley on May 21, 1929.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents, as well as one brother and three sisters.  Jack married the love of his life, Marie Brown Moxley, on January 1, 1949.  They celebrated 68 years of marriage together, and never spent a day apart.  In addition to his loving wife Marie, Jack is survived by one brother, Rev. John D. Moxley of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Collene Honeycutt of Winston-Salem and Wanda Cox of Pinnacle; a very special Sister-in-law and caregiver, Shirley Brown Moxley of Boonville; two special nephews, Gary (Maria) Moxley of Boonville, Philip (Julie) Moxley of Stanfield; two great nephews, Garrett (Brooke) Moxley, Grant Moxley; and a great-niece, Hanna Moxley.  Jack was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Friends Church in East Bend.  Jack retired from Thomasville Furniture Company after 46 years of dedicated service.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, doing yardwork, finding outdoor projects to complete, and playing BINGO.  He especially loved spending time with his devoted neighbors and friends who have shown much love, care, and kindness during his time of illness.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Friends Church.  His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM Saturday in the church with Rev. Jeff Farmer, Rev. George Evans, and Jon Hoots, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Friends Cemetery Fund, 3417 Mt.
