Jack Boyd Shore, age 86, passed away August 30, 2021. He was born November 23, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late Gwynn Hardin Shore, and Sallie Elizabeth Miller Shore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Hutchens, and Nellie Pearl Shore; his brothers, Leo Shore, Herman Shore, Roy Shore, Fred Shore, and Houston Shore; a granddaughter, Kerri Shore; and the mother of his children, Alma P. Shore. He is survived by his children, Diane Jacob, and Ken (Marji) Shore; grandchildren, Angela Register, Lee-Ann (Richie) Bolen, Wilbur (Brandy) Jacob, Kortney (Tyler) Beam, Kelsey Shore, Katie (Scott) Dixon, Carrie (A.J.) Haymore; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Tatayana, Katlyin, Addison, Abbigail, Alliyah, Holden, Gracyn, Emmie, and Paxton; six great great-grandchildren; sister, Lena Allgood. Jack was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church. He was a man of strong faith who placed his trust in his Savior, Jesus Christ. His family cherished him as a loving father, and grandfather who always thought of others and was known by everyone for his sweet, humble and generous spirit. Mr. Shore cherished spending time with his family, and he enjoyed watching old western movies, WWE professional wrestling, and watching the UNC Tarheels play basketball. He retired from RJR Tobacco Company and also served as a security guard for Wachovia Bank and Guardsmark Security Services. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Welch officiating. The family respectfully requests that social distancing and masks be used at the graveside service. Mr. Shore will be available for public viewing from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
