Jack "Tootie" Davis Hutchens, Jr.

Jack Davis “Tootie” Hutchens, Jr., 65, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday May 23, 2017. He is at peace in God’s hands. He was born January 7, 1952 in Surry County to the late Jack Davis Hutchens, Sr. and Nancy Brandon Hutchens. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the outdoors; he loved hunting, fishing, and farming as long as he was able. Tootie had many friends and never turned down anyone who needed help. He will surely be missed by his family and many friends. Surviving are his wife Debbie Smith Hutchens; two sons Bleu (Cara) Hutchens, Brandon (Kristy) Hutchens; grandchildren Davis Hutchens, Paiden Hutchens, Katlin Hutchens, Carly Hutchens; two step grandsons Justin Goad, Jason Goad; sisters Jane Hendricks, Jackie Shelton, Cindy Kosofsky; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday May 25, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday May 26, 2017 at Gentry family Chapel by Rev. Randy Quate, Rev. Lester Holcomb. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
