James Carroll Pendry

Boonville Mr. James “Carroll” Pendry, 76, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home. Mr. Pendry was born August 19, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Joe and Opal Hobson Pendry. He was a very active member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church where he served on the cemetery committee. Mr. Pendry also served on the Board of Directors for Old Belt Co-Op and once he retired from farming, he worked for Crop Production Services until his second retirement.   Mr. Pendry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Hazel Clement Pendry; two children, Jennifer (Darrell) Hobson and Stephanie (Barry) Byrd; four grandchildren, Ashley & Avery Hobson and Brandon & Nichole Byrd; three sisters, Dot (Harvey) Wishon, Janice Willard, and Ruth (Carl) Matthews; one brother, David (Julie) Pendry; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Richmond Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Will Hamric officiating. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 2205 Richmond Hill Church Road Boonville, NC 27011.
