James Preston Davis

East Bend James Preston “Bud” Davis passed away into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the age of 78. Bud was born on October 2, 1941 in Anderson, South Carolina to parents James Albert Davis and Ella Mae Davis. Bud is survived by love of his life, Anita Davis, who he married in 1960. He was a devoted father to his four children Denise Armstrong, Carol Roberts, Jimmy Davis, and Ginny Anderson, and was a wonderful brother to his siblings Sally Abell, Paul Davis, Bob Davis, and Karen Chamberlain. Bud was a proud “Papa” to 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and he loved spending time with his family. He retired from Piedmont Airlines & US Airways and was an active member of Faith Community Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school. Bud instilled his love of Jesus Christ in each member of his family and shared his testimony with everyone he met. Everyone that knew Bud loved him and he touched many lives in his 78 years. His graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 26 at Faith Community Baptist Church by Brian Poindexter. Due to government restrictions, this service will be for immediate family only.
