James Richard Dayton, Jr.

Winston-Salem – James Richard Dayton, Jr., 60, passed away peacefully Monday, July 17, 2023.  He was born December 6, 1962 in Alexander County to James Richard Dayton, Sr. and Susan Rohleder Dayton.  In addition to his parents, he was also survived by his wife, Sonja Hawks Dayton; children, Madeline Faith Dayton, Emily Susanna Dayton; step-son, Collin Scott Williams; sister, Wendy (Frank) Dayton Hinman.  His memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Kenny Gooden.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 3:00 PM Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Memorials can be made at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC  27103 or Harley Davidson Foundation, 3700 W.
