James Richard Hauser

James “Richard” Hauser, 65, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 8, 2021. Richard was born in Yadkin County to the late William Jamie “Jimmy” Hauser and Mary Annie Hutchens Hauser. Most importantly to Richard, he was born again, accepting Jesus as his Savior, on March 8, 1978. He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Debbie Darling Hauser, his son Timothy (Candice) Hauser, his grandson Lucas Hauser, his granddaughter Waylon Hauser, and his sister Judy Alice Hauser. Richard loved his two grandchildren dearly and spent many hours planting seeds of faith in their hearts. He cherished his son and their times working together outdoors and fishing. Richard was a leader in his church and taught Sunday School for nearly 40 years. He worked with the youth in the church, winning little souls for the Lord with tenderly presented bible stories. Richard was a veteran, having served in the Unites States Marine Corps for five years. Richard’s witty sense of humor brought joy and laughter to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. A public viewing will be held without the family due to COVID-19. The viewing will be on Monday January 11, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday January 12, 2021 at Pilot View Friends Church by Pastors Josh Williams and Nelson Puffenbarger officiating. Mr. Hauser will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors by the VFW Post 10346. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilot View Friends Church (Memorial Fund), 3225 Pilot View Church Rd., Yadkinville, NC 27055.
