James "Jim" Woodrow Russell

Sparta Mr. James “Jim” Woodrow Russell, II, 72, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare. Mr. Russell was born September 4, 1944 in Forsyth County to James and Octavia Crotts Russell. He served as a Town Commissioner for Boonville for 10 years and retired from Cintas after 30 plus years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Eads Russell. He is survived by his daughter, April (Bradley) Damron; grandchildren, CJ Wall, Sarah (Joshua) Isley, Francis (David) Barnette, Savanna Gilley, Sara Damron, and Jacob Damron; great grandchildren, Maleya, Abigail, Bentley, Ashleigh, Isaiah, Waylon, Adelynn, and Alivia; and very special friends, Kenneth and Jenny Carter. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Sunday April 30, 2017 at Boonville Cemetery with Pastor Jack Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30PM prior to the service at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
