James "Jimmy" Lee Bowman

Yadkinville Mr. James “Jimmy” Lee Bowman, 69, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Davie Nursing & Rehab Center. Mr. Bowman was born September 1, 1953 to Mattie Irene Bowman. After moving to Yadkin County, he worked at NC DOT in Yadkinville, Unifi and Austin Company. Jimmy was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Yadkinville Fire Department for many years. He loved riding his motorcycle and four-wheeler and enjoyed going fishing. As his health permitted, he spent many hours volunteering and enjoying the fellowship of Yadkinville Senior Center. In addition to his mother, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by two daughters, Candy Bowman and Angel Bowman. He is survived by a brother, Donnie Bowman; a grandson, and a granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. John Williams, Dr. Gunner Key, the staff of Forsyth Medical Center, Pruitt Healthcare, and Davie Nursing and Rehab Center for the amazing care given to Jimmy.
