James "Jimmy" Archie Hensley

Mr. James “Jimmy” Archie Hensley, age 82, of Jonesville passed away on October 12, 2021. Jimmy was born on January 21, 1939 in Surry County to Albia and Edna Hall Hensley. In addition to his parents Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Hudson; brother, Robert Hensley; and Clifton & Azzie Mooney, who cared for him as a teenager.  He loved spending time with his wife, and enjoyed playing putt-putt.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time mowing, riding his tractor, and bush hogging.   

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Margie White Hensley, and several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 11 to 12 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church.  The funeral service will follow at 12 PM on Saturday, October 16, 2021, officiated by Rev. Chris Benfield & Rev. Wesley Mosteller.  Burial will follow with full Military Honors by North Carolina National Guard and VFW POST 10346 in the Church Cemetery with the Committal service officiated by Rev.
