Mr. James Timothy “Tim” Mendenhall, age 60, passed away on February 14, 2022. Tim was born in Surry County on February 21, 1961. He was preceded in death by his father, James Allen Mendenhall.

Years ago, Tim raced and worked with a Nascar Busch Team.  He loved watching his girls race and loved cars.  He also enjoyed watching wrestling on TV.   Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Sue Ann Mendenhall; daughters, Jessica Mendenhall (Jamison Whittington), Jennifer (Jacob) Daughtry; mother-in-law, Ruth Smith; and father-in-law, Toehead Smith.     

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2 PM at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Pastor Marty Wood Officiating.  Burial will follow at Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service.
