James "Bud" Anderson Miller, Jr.

Yadkinville Mr. James “Bud” Anderson Miller, Jr., 87 passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mr. Miller was born September 30, 1931 to James Anderson and Georgie Mae Baity Miller. He owned Miller Basket and Miller Tobacco Warehouse for many years. He was a veteran of the Army and was a member of the VFW Post 9010 In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Denise Miller; and a sister, Margaret Bates. He is survived by a wife, Shirley Mae Holcomb Miller; three sons, James “Randy” Miller, Brian “Kevin” Miller, and Jarrod Stacey Miller; grandchildren, Chace Miller, Brittany (Matt) King, Brandon Brooks, and Devan Miller; great grandchildren, Carter Reavis and two on the way; two sisters, Virginia Reavis and Judy Miller; and three brothers, David (Charlotte) Miller, Ronnie Miller and Bill Miller. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Monday, April 8, 2019 at Turners Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard and VFW Post 9010.
