Jonesville- Mr. James Wesley “Jim” Williams, Sr., also lovingly known as “Squeaky”, 75, of Vestal road passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin. He was born May 27, 1943 in Yadkin County to the late James and Betty Murphy Williams. Mr. Williams was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier for 15 years, worked with Crown Drugs in Oldtown for 26 years, was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, loved watching old Westerns on T.V., and enjoyed NASCAR pulling for first Dale Earnhardt, then Dale Earnhardt, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Marty Williams. Surviving are his beloved wife of 53 years, Rita Kimmer Williams, of the home; a son, James W. Williams, Jr., and fiance’, Lois; a daughter, Heather Williams Haslett; sister, Phyllis W. Sparks(Chris), East Bend; brother, Joe Gray Williams, Winston-Salem; his aunt, Lorene Murphy; sister-in-law, Sissy Gardner, Jonesville; brothers-in-law, Lynn Kimmer, Jonesville; Buddy Kimmer, Winston-Salem; nieces, Melissa and Christie Sparks; nephew, Scott Williams; several cousins, friends, and his special fur babies, Susie and Booger. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Charlie Kennedy. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
